If only all Stopovers are like this! Doha, Qatar

Doha Gold Shop Eight hours flight from  Dallas/Ft. Worth to Doha Qatar, then  another eight hours stopover in Doha, plus six hours going Manila!  What are going to do with our golden time having with having so many privilege to maximize this trip. One of our office heads has a family who is based in Qatar.  He had a plan to go out to spend those few hours with his family there, but then because he do not want to leave his team behind 💗 he invited those of us who's with him on that flight. We paid almost if I'm not mistaken more or less 52 QAR so roughly round P600-700 for the exit fee in Doha. From the airport, a van that pick us up from the arrivals and the we're all surprised because they even prepared a printed itinerary for us! Souq Waqif First we had our dinner in a Persian Cuisine. My bad, because I fail to remember the name of the restaurant! It is just within the Souq Waqif. Where we feast with so many delicious middle eastern foo

Summer in December

credit to best of Puerto Galera site Puerto Galera is a soothing vision of shimmering seas surrounded by lush mountains. It is considered one of the most beautiful and developed beach resort community in the country. Summer in December 1st Starting from “backyard tourism” wherein local residents accept local and foreign tourist as stay-in guest, the island’s tourism has flourished. In the course of time, several hotels, resorts, inns and restaurants have mushroomed within the area. But water is certainly the main attraction of the island. Crystal clear and shimmering especially during the hot summer months, the sea framing Puerto Galera is ideal for swimming, sailing, surfing, snorkeling and scuba diving. In fact one doesn’t have to go by boat to get to a dive site. Scuba and Snorkeling  Puerto Galera is only 3 to 4 hours away from Manila by land and sea transport. The travel time from Manila to Batangas by land is around 2 hours and then the ferry boat

Majestically Mindanao (Field Unit Visit)

Zamboanga City , is located  in the western part of Mindanao. The immediate coastal lowlands are narrow, with low, rugged hills located a short distance inland.  Zamboanga’s Spanish-style architecture, fine beaches, and mountainous backdrop combine with a climate that is cooler and less humid than that of Manila  to make it a favourite tourist spot. I left the house at 3 o' clock AM to catch the 5:00 AM flight. I was the first who arrived at NAIA, then after few minutes two of teammates came in. Walking in the airport with one small luggage on one hand and a cup of Starbucks coffee on the other while sharing our whole day itinerary to my boss. That's what basically my role for this trip. But to make it clear, this  is not a vacation, but a massive planning to combat trafficking and help the youth of this nation. I might only be a person behind the scenes, but I will never trade the time I step into this role I currently play.  The sky is still dark when we left Ma

Freedom from Unbelief - lovin' my US Trip

In life its always seem to be a wide gap between Dreams and Reality, guarantee and uncertainty. Especially if that dream appears to be seas and oceans apart. But keeping up at least one bended knee to that uncertainty and sincere whisper of faith on that dreams of impossibility, indeed nothing will be too hard for the Maker and Promise Keeper! IJM Friends with the people I love in the States Before, I'd just randomly prayed about this, (as same prayers of my Dad for me) & honestly there's a bit hesitation whenever I pray for it because of a great mountain of worries that surmounted my trust and unworthiness to receive. Fun Time around Texas But my God is faithful and He let my heart experience that huge amount of awe. He let me know what is impossible for men is possible for him. He let me see the beauty of His majesty not only by the place I visited, but also through the heart of people I meet and spend time with. These are truly amazing!  Pict

Together at Sky Ranch

Big as Life View from my hotel room 'Country' is as much about a way of life as a place. Slowing down, I woke up with this view that morning. I tend to wake up so early ready for church. One of our friends who is based here in Texas volunteered to drive us to The Potter's House Church   headed by Bishop T.D Jakes. I am so excited to worship to a place where I only get used to see in you tube channel and podcast, but today I am going to see them live!  Steppin’ out in a not so high boots and light pink dress, I am inspired to start this week with worship. I guess I have to thank God first, as I sensed that this week awaits with full of surprises.  Later that day, the whole IJM team is driving down to Sky Ranch to continue some of the fun-filled activities only for IJM staff. Nothing but full of excitement!  Praise God that I still be able to squeeze time for church before a long drive going to Van, Texas.  Sheraton Hotel, Dallas Dinner Party at Sky R

A Global Gathering to End Slavery- Dallas, Texas

IJM Liberate.org Day 1 of the Conference After 20 years of anti-slavery work around the world, IJM is hosting a momentous event called Liberate. This global gathering will include all of IJM’s staff and others who are passionate about ending slavery.  Stepping into this arena is truly both a fulfillment and a vision. Fulfillment of a dream seeing different people from different nation and tongue worshiping the Name of Jesus. And a vision or can I say a glimpse of what it'll be like in eternity where all we can do is "FOREVER WORSHIP"   IJM Pilipinas Team! I'm one of the voices here singing at the top of my lungs!

I wish leaving on a Jet... lag?

And the long wait is over, IJMers! Here we are lining up and waiting for our turn to check in our luggage. I can say that my excitement cannot even discount the nervous I feel since this will going be one o f the longest flights I’ve ever had. Imagine people, we  must bear with our seats for sixteen hours going to Qatar and another seven hours routing our way to U.S. Hey this is onl y one way, I’ve never included yet the same hour count for our return. Crazy! I supposed to bring travel pillows, but did you see this white luggage? It’s almost shaken pressed hardly to fit in. But I’m sure I will exceed on the usual 30 kilos for this International flight.  That’s why on the side note, I already talked to some of my closest people here in my team if I can put other non-essential stuff in theirs gears. Haha!  This seems like given and as I observed, but it is  amazing how many people get caught up wit
