Isla de Boracay!

When friends ask me why they should visit the Philippines, my answer is always simple: it's the people. Yes, the country is blessed with over 7,000 stunning islands, each home to breathtaking beaches, majestic mountains, serene waterfalls, and crystal-clear springs. But the true essence of the Philippines lies in its people. Filipinos are known for their genuine warmth and hospitality. We are a lively, cheerful bunch who love to smile, laugh, and welcome visitors with open arms, making everyone feel like part of the family. You can explore the natural beauty of its islands all you want, but it’s the connections you make with the locals that truly make the experience unforgettable. You really have to visit the Philippines to feel the spirit of Filipino hospitality firsthand. People plus islands, are extremely fun. Thus, one of the must see island beaches here in the South is none other than, Boracay!

Boracay was once considered the most idyllic island in the world and awarded as Best Island in the World by the International travel magazine in 2012. Moreover, it was once notoriously known as a party island with events like La Boracay truly be mesmerized by the  powdery white sand beach & crystal blue water.

However, due to an overabundance of tourists and mounting sewage problems, the most famous of the Philippines islands was closed in April 2018 for a six-month period of repair and restoration. Boracay is scheduled to officially reopen to domestic and international tourists on 26 October, but many say it is still recovering and needs more time before travelers return. As a well-traveled Filipina who loves her country, I can assure you that the Philippines has so much more to offer. With so many beautiful islands, you’ll need at least a year to explore every bit of this amazing archipelago. Consider this place as a must see beach here in the South, less overrun, more cost-effective – and just as beautiful as Boracay!
It was many years ago during my last visit to Boracay, but the reason I’m writing about this enchanting island today is to not only revive the vivid memories of its beauty and majesty in my heart, but most importantly, to witness its healing journey and resurgence. Boracay is a place that has undergone its trials, but like the island itself, it has risen once more — stronger, cleaner, and more vibrant. The island’s spirit, just like its pristine beaches and crystal-clear waters, is being restored, and it feels like the entire place is breathing new life. I hope that through sharing this, others will also be reminded of Boracay’s magic and how it continues to heal, thrive, and welcome those who come to experience its wonder.

Love Not Nails

Sea of Galilee O pinions on fake news is getting worse, misinformation in social media rapidly circulates.  People are excessively concern of themselves and malicious comments are trending online. I've sensed so much hate, I've heard a lot of demands. This brought me to pause and dropped my phone and shut it off. I'm done praying when I grabbed my Bible to read.  The Holy Spirit took me to 1 Corinthians 13:4-13 and it recites the verses of love. I can always read this passage again and again because the word love is so rich and true. Words can't express enough, totally powerful, ineffable. He illuminates verse 7, "Love never gives up, and its faith, hope and patience never fail." Love perfectly describes as eternal. Spurgeon once preached, "God is a sun that never sets." Indeed, the picture of the Cross is the best demonstration of love and truth, because it is love, not nails, what held Jesus on that cross and His love surpassed death because it doe...

Ready or Not?

Perhaps you're wanting to start a new ministry, perhaps you're wanting to apply to another job or perhaps you wanted to get serious with someone you really like. Whatever it may be, there are seasons that God may tell us we are not ready but then later on, He will let us know when we are ready. These are my common realizations in the waiting as I traced God's way of telling me or encouraging me to do something new or start stepping into the unfamiliar place. If you're one of my closest, you know that I'm the type of person who won't do something if I know I'm not ready, or I didn't prepare myself for it. That's why I think carefully before writing this piece, because we have different personalities, levels of spiritual discernment, and of course God can speak to us in various ways. These realizations I share are based on my own experience, discernment, and meditation of The Word in connection of some events in the past where I strongly sensed God tel...

Theological Guilt vs. Psychological Guilt

Note: Based on Genesis 2- The Fall of Man Seaside Debriefing The Bible teaches in Genesis that guilt feelings should have absolutely no place in Christian life. [1] Christ died on the cross to free us from the penalty of our sin, and bridge the gap of sin; we should only have to respond on it with deep repentance. Some will say that guilt-feelings is the growth of the conscience, hence it is when the moral element is experienced. Freud extend a thought that a sense of guilt can also developed from the Oedipus complex [2] , happened at the third stage of psychodynamic development, where an increase guilt is not primarily come from desire towards opposite parent but on such wishes that may produce an ambivalent tendencies. Probably, these so-called undetermined ‘desires’ and ‘wishes’ are the ones that motivates the heart and mind to act powerfully and sometimes think irrationally. Guilt as we have seen from psychological point of view, always implies an inner sense of wrong-...
