It has the temperature rising to just 25˚C on a typical summer day. If you want to enjoy outdoor activities in the Philippines during the summer season without the sweltering heat, then Baguio is the place for you.
Baguio is known as
the "City of Pines" and is famous for its green park spaces, and of
course, hillsides teeming with gigantic pine trees. Even back in the day, the
city has always been filled with greeneries.

Tourist spots
in Baguio grew in number over the years, and several of its parks started
offering other activities. Nowadays, you can chill out in one of these parks
and spend a whole day just trying out everything that it has to offer.
We tend not to bring a car because they
said that cab is cheaper in Baguio compare to Manila. Moreover, you can appreciate the view with a wonderful landscape flourishing with roses, orchids and different flowers, vast spaces around in a most romantic flora.

On our first night we stroll in the Night
market and since it was a six hours land travel and we arrived at 8:00PM in Baguio Bus Terminal. We just dropped off our belongings in our rooms the we went out for a
walk. The food we ate in Manila can no longer sustain that Friyay’ night. Along
the way there were lots of food bazaar. We tried their sausage,
burger, fries, veggie dip, and fruit shakes and these made me wide awake until
1:00am. Anyways, we thought to burn those when get back to our lodge. After few
hours of site seeing and picture taking. We decided to go back because it was freezing that night for about 17'C. But when we’re almost half on our way to our apartment we end up booking a Grab
because we really cannot stand the cold outside.
On the next day, we tried different specialty,
first is my all-time favorite Taho (Bean curd) normally I topped it with caramel
syrup with sago, but here in Baguio the twist is more appetizing because they made
it in Strawberry Flavor.
God.. This is soooooo Y-U-M-M-Y!
Then we had our brunch in the famous Tsokolate de Batirol - of course I never missed to get their best seller hot chocolate and “Champorado” to-die-for or so-called as Chocolate porridge. In the Philippines we normally match it with “tuyo” or dried fish to balance the sweetness of the champorado.

Since we went to try all the best of the place while roaming around. We resolved to have our lunch on the next day at the “Good Taste Restaurant” - Gosh! there were so many people when we arrived, therefore we have to wait in line in order for us to try their best Beef Noodles and Buttered Chicken.
Apart from the food, we've been to several tourist attractions in Baguio. Every day was a long day, but worth all-the pain in our legs and feet! Promise.
We supposed to go at the Ben Cab Museum but unknowingly it was close on Mondays - the day we planned to visit. My heart broke in few minutes after I heard it because that should be our last on the list. Anyway, below is the list of places we'd never missed;
- ·
Burnham Park
- ·
Minesview Park
- ·
Tsokolate de Batirol
- ·
The Mansion
- ·
The Old Diplomat Hotel
- · Strawberry Farm
- · Valley of Colors
- · Botanical Garden
- ·
Camp John Hay
- · Baguio Night Market
That was an amazing trip! A fun four days and
three nights sweet escape, take note our last day in Baguio was the day before Christmas, but
thank God that we made it last and still we had our Noche Buena in our home
sweet home!
