Best of Baguio!

Fluffy view -shot by yours truly

It has the temperature rising to just 25˚C on a typical summer day. If you want to enjoy outdoor activities in the Philippines during the summer season without the sweltering heat, then Baguio is the place for you.

Baguio is known as the "City of Pines" and is famous for its green park spaces, and of course, hillsides teeming with gigantic pine trees. Even back in the day, the city has always been filled with greeneries.

Tourist spots in Baguio grew in number over the years, and several of its parks started offering other activities. Nowadays, you can chill out in one of these parks and spend a whole day just trying out everything that it has to offer.

We tend not to bring a car because they said that cab is cheaper in Baguio compare to Manila. Moreover, you can appreciate the view with a wonderful  landscape flourishing  with roses, orchids and different flowers, vast spaces around in a most romantic flora.

Giant Pines at the Manor
On our first night we stroll in the Night market and since it was a six hours land travel and we arrived at 8:00PM in Baguio Bus Terminal. We just dropped off our belongings in our rooms the we went out for a walk. The food we ate in Manila can no longer sustain that Friyay’ night. Along the way there were lots of food bazaar. We tried their sausage, burger, fries, veggie dip, and fruit shakes and these made me wide awake until 1:00am. Anyways, we thought to burn those when get back to our lodge. After few hours of site seeing and picture taking. We decided to go back because it was freezing that night for about 17'C. But when we’re almost half on our way to our apartment we end up booking a Grab because we really cannot stand the cold outside.

On the next day, we tried different specialty, first is my all-time favorite Taho (Bean curd) normally I topped it with caramel syrup with sago, but here in Baguio the twist is more appetizing because they made it in Strawberry Flavor.

God.. This is soooooo Y-U-M-M-Y!

Then  we had our brunch in the famous Tsokolate de Batirol - of course I never missed to get their best seller hot chocolate and “Champorado” to-die-for or so-called as Chocolate porridge. In the Philippines we normally match it with “tuyo” or dried fish to balance the sweetness of the champorado.

Since we went to try all the best of the place while roaming around. We resolved to have our lunch on the next day at the “Good Taste Restaurant” - Gosh! there were so many people when we arrived, therefore we have to wait in line in order for us to try their best Beef Noodles and Buttered Chicken.

Apart from the food, we've been to several tourist attractions in Baguio. Every day was a long day, but worth all-the pain in our legs and feet! Promise.

We supposed to go at the Ben Cab Museum but unknowingly it was close on Mondays - the day we planned to visit. My heart broke in few minutes after I heard it because that should be our last on the list. Anyway, below is the list of places we'd never missed;

That was an amazing trip! A fun four days and three nights sweet escape, take note our last day in Baguio was the day before Christmas, but thank God that we made it last and still we had our Noche Buena in our home sweet home!

Love Not Nails

Sea of Galilee O pinions on fake news is getting worse, misinformation in social media rapidly circulates.  People are excessively concern of themselves and malicious comments are trending online. I've sensed so much hate, I've heard a lot of demands. This brought me to pause and dropped my phone and shut it off. I'm done praying when I grabbed my Bible to read.  The Holy Spirit took me to 1 Corinthians 13:4-13 and it recites the verses of love. I can always read this passage again and again because the word love is so rich and true. Words can't express enough, totally powerful, ineffable. He illuminates verse 7, "Love never gives up, and its faith, hope and patience never fail." Love perfectly describes as eternal. Spurgeon once preached, "God is a sun that never sets." Indeed, the picture of the Cross is the best demonstration of love and truth, because it is love, not nails, what held Jesus on that cross and His love surpassed death because it doe...

Ready or Not?

Perhaps you're wanting to start a new ministry, perhaps you're wanting to apply to another job or perhaps you wanted to get serious with someone you really like. Whatever it may be, there are seasons that God may tell us we are not ready but then later on, He will let us know when we are ready. These are my common realizations in the waiting as I traced God's way of telling me or encouraging me to do something new or start stepping into the unfamiliar place. If you're one of my closest, you know that I'm the type of person who won't do something if I know I'm not ready, or I didn't prepare myself for it. That's why I think carefully before writing this piece, because we have different personalities, levels of spiritual discernment, and of course God can speak to us in various ways. These realizations I share are based on my own experience, discernment, and meditation of The Word in connection of some events in the past where I strongly sensed God tel...

(Yhwh) our God Cannot Lie

Trying to take my mind off any racing thoughts. But it doesn't work, still wide awake. I realized it's already midnight, so I tend to pray again a little, return to bed. Staring at the dark ceiling, toss and turn, then noticed it's been already an hour since I last checked the time.       Thinking of something deep, seeking God for clear answers about matters of heart.  Asking him like, "really Lord, you said yes, and this is for real?.... But why it seemed I don't see any signs?", "Did I heard you right ?"  or "Am I only getting impatient?..." Then it is even getting harder to catch a sleep.  There are times that I sincerely prayed for something, committing all my strength to wait on it, believing  that I heard the Lord clearly with the confirmation of the Scripture. But there were days that doubts start rising, and not always in the mood to praise. Times when all of the sudden, I simply want to stop and tell God, " did ...
